Validating European patents with epvalidation

epvalidation is a reliable and efficient way to validate your European patent in up to 35 countries at once.  It enables patent firms, companies and universities to reduce the cost and administrative burden associated with European validation.

Where epvalidation fits in the patent process

If you have a granted European patent or have received a notice of intention to grant (also referred as a 71(3) notice) from the European patent office (EPO), then it is time to validate the patent in individual European countries.

A European patent attorney needs to respond to the 71(3) notice by lodging a translation of the granted claims and paying required fees to the EPO. The European patent is then granted and you can use epvalidation to validate your patent in each of your chosen European countries.
